Sony ‘copy-protected’ CDs essentially install a rootkit onto your Windows system. For those of you who don’t know what a “rootkit” it — it’s a malicious piece of software (like a virus, worm or trojan horse) that enables other people to seize control of your computer remotely. Installing such software without the computer owner’s knowledge is basically a cyber-crime, and that makes Sony Music a criminal organization. The solution to this problem? Don’t buy any music from the SOBs at Sony Music. Sony Music sucks.

Cheney, Libby prevented relevant documents from being used in Congressional investigations into the Iraq ‘intelligence failure’. It’s amazing that Americans tolerate such traitors at the very top of their government. Was Cheney directly involved in leaking a covert CIA agent’s name?
Was Cheney directly involved in leaking a covert CIA agent’s name? The New York Times says so, and actually reputable news organizations do too (harharhar). When it comes to “high crimes and misdemeanors” this scores *way* higher than getting a blowjob, I think you will agree. Via Metafilter.

In a sure sign of its abandoning any hope of being taken seriously by anyone ever again, the White House decides to go after satirical site The Onion for using the Presidential Seal. This is the sort of rank, head-up-your-own-ass stupidity that you’d expect would be a joke on The Onion’s site, but it is in fact a very real action taken by a very real American Administration which seems intent on proving to the world that there is nothing too silly or ludicrous for the Bush White House to undertake.
